Man sues Waco business for injuries during accident | Dead Link |


A consulting engineer who was struck by a falling wall at a Clayton Homes plant in Waco is suing the mobile home manufacturer for his injuries.

Kenneth C. Coffing of Clearwater, Fla., is seeking unspecified damages in his lawsuit, filed this week in Waco's 74th State District Court.

Reference is made in law suit about a June 4th crane accident. The accident was not reported to this site at that time.

A 69-year-old merchant seaman was paralyzed when he was hit in the head with a hook-block while his cargo ship was docked in Miami.

The accident referenced in article was not reported to CraneAccidents.com and we have not been able to locate a report of the incident.

— According to Clyde Payne, OSHA's Jackson area director, an Advance Masonry employee, Claude Spann, Jr., was working on a scaffold preparing to do stone work on the front of the David C. Swalm Chemical Engineering building when the accident occurred. A crane boom fell, striking the scaffold and fatally injuring Spann.
