FATAL ACCIDENT

The crane accident (fatality) in Albuquerque, NM last Thursday was a sign company. They were using a basket on a ladder boom truck. All the information I have so far is from the News Paper article. It said that the basket became detached from the boom and the basket and the man in it fell forty feet to the pavement. They were apparently changing light bulbs in the sign. The article didn't say whether or not it was a fixed basket or suspended. I suspect that it probably was suspended. Those ladder booms typically have the ball/block attached with cable clamps. I'll forward more information as it becomes available.--Scott O.
